MLM Leadership Skills Part 5
1. Create a vision.
Every great leader has a vision. I call it your "WHY". It needs to be strong and important. What do you want to accomplish? Where do you want to be one year, five years from now? A good, strong "WHY" will keep you focused when the times get tough.
2. Implement a system.
Use a system consistently and effectively. Most people know that the shortest distance between Point A and Point B is a straight line. Use a system that will get you there. Show up every day and work your system. If you have a clear system that will take you from A to B you will get there a lot quicker than if you are constantly changing directions.
3. Add value.
Keep improving. If you haven't added value to yourself, you have nothing to offer. Be a student of the industry. There are plenty of self-development books out there. Read them. Soak up the information like a sponge. If you don't have extra knowledge, resources, and capabilities to get you where you are going, no one will need to join you. They will turn to someone who does have extra knowledge and information to offer.
4. Give away your value.
When you give away your value to others, you are actually increasing, not decreasing your value. When you are giving others good information and knowledge without asking for anything in return, you become more and more of a leader to those people. You will have confidence in the abundance of information, prospects and wealth around you and you will know that helping other people is really helping yourself.
5. Expecting leadership from your followers.
If your followers want to achieve true success, they will need to become leaders. Teach them how to create their own vision, and they will step up to the plate.
You are still there for them, but teach them to make their own decisions. Teach them to think like a leader. Teach them to become critical thinkers. After all, building leaders will work yourself out of a job.
For some this process just happens naturally, but if you find that you feel like a constant follower, go back to these 5 steps, and you will become a true leader.
These are my views on what it takes to be a leader. Did I miss anything? Any comments or questions will be appreciated.

Levels of Leadership Part 4
to do their work. One of the most powerful assets of any business
is a good leader.
Leadership is not an attribute anyone is born with. It is developed through life.
If you are wanting to become a leader, but you are thinking that no one would
want to follow you, then you need to change your mindset. Do not say,
"One day I will become a leader." It doesn't matter if you are a leader to one
person or a hundred people, say " Today I am a leader." and act on it.
Leadership is an ongoing effort to improve your skills and ability to help others.
Leaders are readers. Join a Master Mind. Do whatever it takes to improve on
the skills and abilities that you do have.
Leaders are decision makers. They do not procrastinate, Leaders know what
has to be done, and get it done. Leaders know when to step up to the plate.
Don't be fearful of messing up. When leaders mess up, they take responsibility,
learn from their mistakes, and keep moving forward. Followere tend to blame
others for their mistakes. Leaders take a step in confidence, pin their shoulders
back, and talk with confidence. If that is not you, take a public speaking course,
just get out there and do it. Step out of your comfort zone and take your
leadership to the next level.
A practical way of developing into an effective leader is to get incolved. Positioning
yourself to inspire people will really catapult you ahead. It will also take you out of
your comfort zone. That is a fantastic place to be. You will be surprised how quickly
you develop your weaknesses into strengths.
Management is efficiency in climbing the ladder of success; leadership determines whether the ladder is leaning against the right wall--Steven Covey

Qualified Leads for Your M-L-M Opportunity
This is money that could have been spent on more profitable investments to your business. Its no joke, purchased leads are a waste of time and money which is detrimental to your business. The truth of the matter is that nobody really cares about your business; they just want a solution to their problems. That’s all!
Tip #3 – make a sales pitch and you come across as a salesperson. Offer the customer a resolution to a problem plus a support system and an opportunity for a service and you come across as a professional.
Tip #4 – keep it real. Don’t give them a talk about how you made your fortune. They will need to understand how THEY can do it too. With the right direction, they could become independent business leaders who have the ability to generate their own leads and business. Give them the right retail solution now which will give them a head start.
And the great thing about submitting articles is that they will be out there on the internet for a long time. I would say forever but nothing lasts forever. Some article directories even send your articles out to other web sites that may request it. Now you have another article with your links somewhere else. People who have websites that have your subject matter in common with their site may use your article as content. Your article goes on their site with all your links! That means more exposure for free mlm lead generation! There are some paid directories but why not take advantage of great and effective free marketing.

Network Marketing Leadership Part 3
finding it difficult to choose.
I spent some time with my team members talking
about using the slight edge philosophy every day
to build their business. As they do the task over
and over again, they will develop the confidence
needed.
Then it dawned on me... as they develop confidence,
they develop competence.
Competence is defines as a standardized requirement
to perform a particular job. It encompasses a combination of
skill, knowledge, and behavior utilized to improve performance,
having the ability to perform a specific role.
So does that mean that competence is an outcome with a
clearly defined set of standards that can be mastered at a
given time in a person's life?
John C. Maxwell in his book,
"The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader" tells us we
don't have to be Michael Jordan, Bill Gates or
Benjamin Franklin to excel in the area of competence.
Then he tells us how to cultivate competence, which is:
1. Show up every day
2. Keep improving
3. Follow through with excellence
4. Accomplish more than expected
5. Inspire others
The competent leaders study and develops their competence,
practice their skills and passes it along to their team members.
After all, Network Marketing is about developing leaders where
you want to work yourself out of a job.
Where do you stand in those areas? There are definitely some
of the 5 listed I could improve on. This will be a great discussion
to continue with next time. Did I miss something? Comments
and suggestions are welcomed.

Network Marketing Leadership Part 2
I also want to say Thank you for the comments and participating .
Becoming a leader is one of the most challenging and rewarding
professions anyone can choose. It requires a particular blend of
talents that combines the caring and empathy of a true people
person with intuition, timing, organization, and a strong vision.
True leaders aren't always in the forefront, using authority.
Much of the time, real leadership is based on quiet confidence,
fostering skills and power in others and believing in them so
they can believe in themselves.
The best leaders are comfortable with themselves so they can
share power easily and establish trust and rapport with others.
They are commited to themselves and their team.
Commitment is another strong quality that a leader possesses. How
are you doing when it comes to follow through on your commitments?
And what did I miss? Please feel free to add your thoughts and comments.
Next time I will talk about another quality of a leader.

Network Marketing Leadership
The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader'
John C. Maxwell said,
“Everything rises and falls on leadership,
but knowing how is only half the battle.
Understanding leadership and actually
leading are two different things”.
I listened to a short , 3 minute video
this week from a team event of 12,000 people
lead by one extraordinary leader.
This person understands the laws of leadership
and the principles that need to be present in
order for us to lead effectively.
Leadership is based on Character....Our Character
is who we are.
One dictionary defines character, in the sense
we are considering here, as "the complex of mental
and ethical traits marking a person." In another
dictionary, character is said to be "the stable
and distinctive qualities built into an individual's
life which determine his or her response
regardless of circumstances."
We all have character. Character is a choice.
Character Is a learned behavior.
Our character determines our response to the
obstacles, problems and challenges we expect.
Character also determines our success.
It determines whether a person will effectively
achieve goals, be honest in dealing with others
and will obey the laws and rules of the group.
Some of the words that define good character are:
Alertness,
Compassion,
Decisiveness
Humility
Forgivness,
Wisdom,
Dependability,
Responsibility,
Faith,
Loyality, and
Patience.
To have a happy lasting relationship, it has to
be filled with the qualities of trustworthiness,
loyalty, truthfulness, love, courage, and generosity.
Marriage research shows that these qualities and many
more are vital for the success of your marriage.
The same thing in your business life.
It takes years to build character. Leaders know
what they want, they have a vision , they are
unwilling to compromise on their values, integrity
and beliefs.
They walk the talk...they do not talk the walk!
Leaders realize that it is a long climb to the top,
but a short drop from the top. So they continue
on the proper path of slight edge growth, building
character from within.
Character is who we are on the inside. It's our moral
strength that determines right from wrong, it's our
ability to remain self-disciplined and follow our own
values regardless of what society says, and it's our
strength to handle the bad circumstances of life.
Therefore everytime you choose Character, you become
stronger. The development of character is at the heart
of our Development as a leader as well as a human being.
As you lead others on your team, remember that your
character is your most important asset.

Key Elements for Network Marketing Success
To build a stable, profitable network marketing business, you must
- Offer prospects a tested, proven lead generation & training system
- Develop your own ability to coach your recruits to success in your system
The most important element of being able to coach your recruits to success is … you. You must understand your WHY and focus on it daily. You’ve got to know exactly what motivates you, or you’ll never be able to help your prospects figure out what motivates them. And if they can’t state their WHY, then they’ll drift away sooner or later. They can’t maintain their commitment if they can’t see exactly why they’re doing the daily work.
Re-read the first chapter of Success In 10 Steps if you’re at all hazy about your WHY. You’ll get at least 20 questions in that chapter to help you pinpoint your motivations.
Plus … it’ll be a big help to you in coaching others on how to state their WHY and then work toward achieving their goals. That is all a great coach does.

Network Marketing Lesson Learned
thought what a wonderful word picture to describe
what 97% of Network Marketers experience in
the lifetime of building a home base business and in
search for the freedom of choice.
Lesson from a dead fly
This was inspired by, when cleaning the dead flies
lying there on the window seal. What happened?
I have witness the scenario many times before,
but never thought about the process of a fly trying
to reach freedom past that window. So I sat there
picturing in my mind what could have happened.
There she is flying around, seemingly hitting an
imaginary wall, suddenly changing direction,
now toward the real danger, the picture window.
Smack against it. What is going on in the fly’s head?
Here is the light, right in front of her, picture of freedom,
flying in the warm spring air one with nature.
But the unseen real block right in front of her the
dreaded glass blocking the well planned escape to the
outside world and freedom.
She will keep hitting that widow pane time after time
until dropping to the window seal exhausted, hurt, and,
with one last glance toward the dream of freedom will
die there among similar other stories.
But she was determinate; she had a vision, a good plan.
She could not perceive the glass, the block that brought
her to the last resting place.
Was there an option? Off course she could have looked
around for an open space to freedom. But no, her
determination, dedication and stubbornness would not
allow her to admit defeat after a few tries, perhaps her
ego got in the way and would not allow her to be open
to other possibilities.
But, she is only a “fly”, and we are only “human”
Well I guess it’s a good excuse to die right there on
the window seal.
How many of us are behaving like the fly?
We are trying hard, banging our head against the window.
Oh yes, don’t get me wrong we are determined to
succeed, we have a vision or CMI ( clear mental image)
we have a goal, a well planned one at that. We will succeed
*even if we die trying.*
In the mean time someone, a coach or mentor or even a
good friend is trying to show us a better way, a different way,
an open door to freedom. But we are caught up in our plan,
our vision so much that we will not accept an alternative.
And when we lay there exhausted near dead or in our human
case, quitting stage we will blame the whole world for not allowing
us to reach our goals.
I have found the way to freedom with the Mentoring For Free Team.
There is always someone available and willing to point the way to my
goals and most time in an easier way then I could have come up with.
A master mind group is of the highest importance when reaching
for a dream it is found here among the pages of Think and Grow Rich
and the mental cleanse, saving useless head banging and certain death.

Tips and Advice For Your Network Marketing Business
gave me the book, "Battlefeld of the mind" by Joyce Meyer.
Some pages of the book has paper clips, where my friend
had marked some pages that helped her learn and grow
into the wonderful person that she was.
You see, she was in her late 60's when she decided she
needed to make some extra money to supplement her
retirement.
She started out with Watkins and became very successful
in that business. She won many awards, fur coats, trips.
Whatever contest or incentive that the company put on,
she excelled to the top.
I meet my friend in 1998, a year after I started my Network
Marketing career. We would sit on her front porch for hours
talking about business, talking about life and sometimes just
sitting in silence watching the sun fade on the horizon.
Strong thoughts about her today lead me to the book that
she gave me. The page that opened to me stated,
"My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge" Hosea 4:6
This statement reminds me of people who are working a
business from home because being a mentor, every day
I talk to someone who has not read their policy and procedures,
have not crunched the numbers on their comp plan and
do not have a duplicatible system.
How can anyone make an informed decision on a business
opportunity if they do not know what is expected and what
is required to make the money?
The superstars of this industry use aggressive techniques on
us with promises of big bonuses if we get in at the groundfloor
of a prelaunch, they will do the recruiting for us and give us
spillover. They tell us to make a list of our warm market, buy
leads and do the cold calling when our warm market is run
dry.
We end up being frustrated, spending time and money that
we do not have and blaming ourselves for our lack of success.
Sound Familiar? Yeah, I know. Being there, got the tee shirt.
Tip # 1: Before you decide to sign your name on the agreement,
please read the contract, know what is required of you,
crunch the numbers so that you will be able to look at an
opportunity and know if it will work for you not against you.
Tip # 2: Make sure the duplicatible system is NOT making a list
of your family and friends
Become 10 feet tall and bulletproof. Become a critical thinker.
Learn the skills that are necessary for you to have success in
this great industry.

Best MLM Business Blueprint
to get the things you want.
So how do you know it's right for you?
The home business industry is just getting paid for word
of mouth advertising. It’s just recommending things that
you like from your own business and getting paid for it
In order for everyone to be successful in a Network Marketing
company, not just a few people, the company has to have
five critical elements.
1. The company must have an experienced corporate team with
a solid track record for doing business successfully.
How do you find out if a company has experience?
Well, on way is to google the names of the owners/CEO
2. The company must have a product line that is consumable,
exclusive, and in high demand.
Tip: Check our information from the FTC on what a product is.
www.ftc.gov
3. You must have a compensation plan that pays you well for
the time that you invest in your business and be able to pay you in
the early stages of joining
In order for Network Marketing business owners to reach
goals, you have to have a plan. To write your plan you must
know the number of people you need to reach that goal.
Tip: Crunch the numbers to know how many people needed to
make x amount of dollars.
4. You must have access to a proven system of duplication and
training. That way you can have the same success the experts have.
5. Timing is the most important aspect of an opportunity. The
timing has to be right for the company. If everyone has already
heard of it it’s probably too late.
It’s easy to see how using this blueprint to find the right home
base business will be less frustrating and why so many people
are doing their due diligence before jumping into a business.
Now that you know there's a way to have all the things you want.
All you have to do is follow this simple blueprint.
Chapter 9 of Success in 10 steps shows you how to evaluate an
opportunity.

Best MLM Tips Strategies Advice on Pyramind Schemes
combines a fake yet seemingly credible business with a simple-
to-understand yet sophisticated-sounding money-making formula.
What does that mean?
Lets say that Mary pays a one time fee to join a company, then she
has to recruit other people into the business, who pay the one time
fee, in order for her to start earning money. Then they go on to
recruit others. As each new recruit pays the one time fee, Mary
gets a percentage of the payment.
Is there anything wrong with that?
Well, no if there is a product. Some of those companies rarely involves
a sale of a product where there is a money value attached. In this case
there is no end benefit. The money just moves up the chain.
In situations such as these, there are two questions that you should ask.
1. Would a logical thinking person buy that product or service if there
was not a business opportunuty attached?
2. Does the money stop when the recruting stops?
How is your comp plan set up?
Here is a Tip:The comp plan should give greater rewards for Retailing
than Recruiting.
Pyramid schemes, as currently defined by the Federal Trade
Commission (FTC) -- and in many state laws -- are plans which
1. "concentrate on the commissions you could earn just for recruiting
new distributors," and which
2. "generally ignore the marketing and selling of products and services."
In the classic Pyramid scheme, the money is made solely through
the recruitment of new distributors, with no product going
to the end consumer. This drives the behavoir of money passing
from one person to another with no value of product given in return.
All of these questions can be answered. Need help, Call or email me!!!

Learning Skills is essentail for Your MLM Business Success
have a successful business in Network Marketing.
And then when you talk to someone and they tell you,
"I have no money. I have $30,000.00 in credit card
debt, I am 3 months behind on my house payment,
and the bills just keep piling up,"
My hearts aches, I get a funny feeling in the pit of my
stomach and then I get mad.
All everyone wants is to have a life where they can
do what they want, when they want, with whom they
want.
But for the most part, the majority of us has been
taken advantage of in our quest for such a life.
"Why?"
Because someone decided that they would design a
program that promises great wealth overnight.
Well, from my standpoint, there is no such thing. The
only person profiting from that is the guy who designed
the program. He takes the money and Runs....
Nework Marketing is a fun business when you know how
to do it.
Learning the skills on how to do Network Marketing will
reduce the struggles and the frustration. With any profession,
before you can perform a job, you need to be trained to do it.
Well then, working a home base business from your computer
is no different. Learning the skills is essential.
Then you can make an informed decision, you know what to
look for and hey, you are more prepared to see the hype of the
opportunity that promises you can make thousands of dollars

Old School Network Marketing Mistakes
"Success in 10 Steps" by Michael Dlouhy
No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Part 1
Listen carefully.
I’m well aware your intentions were gallant:
to provide for your family all the things YOU
never had, to spend more quality time with
them, to help others like yourself grow & prosper.
And remember what happened next?
You were lied to. You were “leveraged”. The
Heavy Hitters used you for batting practice.
You got thrown in the muck, untrained,
unprepared. Your checking account was drained.
Your credit cards were maxed out. Friends &
relatives screened your phone calls.
by Michael Dlouhy
Boy, do I ever know what that feels like.
I spent 10 years doing that with more frustration,
loss time and money than I care to mention.
And oh yes, my family and friends locked their doors
when they saw me pulling into the driveway.
Well maybe I am stretching the truth a little bit
But I could see the cringe on their face when I
told them that I was selling the next “best thing”
More rejection...How much of this can I take?
All I really wanted was to work for myself, spend
quality time with my family, do what I want, when
I want, with whom I want. Was that too much to ask?
Then I read the book, “Success in 10 Steps”
Let me tell ya, that was an eye opener. I was
doing network marketing the old school way.
I could not be successful that way.
There were many ah ah moments as I read and
reread the book. A lot of my questions were answered
in chapter 9 and 10.
Now I understand how network marketing works.
It is simple, and fun to do. It does take time and effort
on my part to work my business, but the rewards are
great because what I work for today will be there to pay
my childrens children.

A Focused Network Marketer Builds a Focused Web
My Goodnes, My head is like "A Birch Broom in fits". This
means my hair is going in every direction...or some would
say, "Bad hair day".
Sometimes in my network Marketing business, I use to
feel the same way. I was going from one program to another,
doing multiple programs at one time, with no set direction
or focus, hoping for that multiple streams of income.
The vast majority of Network Marketers who get convinced
of the brilliance of the idea that they need multiple streams
of income wind up instead with multiple streams of outgo.
With multiple streams of incomes comes the problem of
decrease trust and loyality. People will not take you seriously.
You have no identity. You are a mile wide and an inch deep.
You are weak everywhere instead of strong somewhere.
The more streams of income you promote, the more chance
you are competing with your own people. You see it every s
single day online.
A proven way to fix my hair in the morning is to jump in
the shower and shampoo it. Then I can style it any way
I want.
A proven way to stop the mutliple streams of outgo is
to get focused on one thing. When you put your energy
into one powerful income stream, your spin off potential
is tremendous.
Now, the biggest problem for most people is focus....the
ability to do one thing amazingly well. I recommend you
start with a mentor of your own. I did!!!!
I am mentored by a group of leaders who is having success
in this industry. I have learnt mentoring skills. I help others.
Through experience and study, I have sharpened my skills.
Today, for the first time in my network marketing career,
I am having success in my business and mentoring for free

Cruising in the Carribbean
Eastern Carribean. Awesome!!!!
The neat thing about this cruise is that I went
with my team. And oh what a team.
My trip started with a 10 hour flight to Florida.
Spent a couple of days in The Tampa Area with
team members, then on to Miami where the
cruise ship departed from. And oh what a ship!!!!
Our first port of call was San Juan...it was late
afternoon when we arrived. Took a tour of the
city and walked to the old fort. Awesome!!
Our next port of call was St. Thomas... such a beautiful
sight as we entered port. I had to pinch myself to see
if I was actually dreaming...Nope It was real.
Spend the day on the beach, soaking up all the sunshine
with some team members while others went parasailing.
Our final port of call was St. Maarteen. Again such a
picture as we entered port...breathtaking. We did a
walking tour of Philipsburg, did a bit of shopping and
made some new friends.
On the days we were at sea, lots of entertainment to keep us
occupied. Slot machines, dancing, shows, shopping and yes
eating!!!! I was living the life of the rich and famous.
Full array of food anytime of the day and night. By the end
of the cruise, my clothes was fitting a bit tight. So a bit of advice
When you plan on a cruise, loose a few pounds before.
You will be guaranteed to add a few pounds while you are there.
Now I am back in the freezing cold weather...minus 15.
What a shock to my system. But no matter, I am planning
my next cruise for 2010. This time we will be cruising the
western carribean.
I am living a life that most people only dream about. Wow.
Thank You mentoring for free for helping me own my life.

Are you a Conscious Goal Setter?
objective until accomplished...taken from
" The Power of Focus" by Jack Canfield
Make your goals about you...
Be selfish...The most common mistake
people make is to make their goals about
other people.
The most important question to ask is:
What do I really want?
Your goals must be meaningful...
I remember working 16 hour days in the
beginning of getting my business of the ground,
every spare moment was spent working.
To have total committment is a very important
ingredient to have success in this industry.
The questions to ask are:
What is really important to me?
What are my reasons for doing this?
What am I prepared to give up?
This will get you focused on what you want
with the motivation to do it no matter what
obstacles are in your way.
Your goals must be specific and measurable...
When I first started writing my goals, I was not
specific. As an example...My goal is to have time
freedom.
Ok so I want to spend more time with my family.
To be specific I have to write down what I want to
do with my family, how much time I want to spend
and where I want to spend it.
Start writing down all the things that you want to
do...start the sentence with, I am... or I will...
This will help you get focused as well as motivate you
to take the actions that are necessary to acheive your
goals and dreams.
