Levels of Leadership Part 4

Are you an effective leader? A true leader is able to inspire people
to do their work. One of the most powerful assets of any business
is a good leader.

Leadership is not an attribute anyone is born with. It is developed through life.
If you are wanting to become a leader, but you are thinking that no one would
want to follow you, then you need to change your mindset. Do not say,

"One day I will become a leader." It doesn't matter if you are a leader to one
person or a hundred people, say " Today I am a leader." and act on it.

Leadership is an ongoing effort to improve your skills and ability to help others.
Leaders are readers. Join a Master Mind. Do whatever it takes to improve on
the skills and abilities that you do have.
Leaders are decision makers. They do not procrastinate, Leaders know what
has to be done, and get it done. Leaders know when to step up to the plate.

Don't be fearful of messing up. When leaders mess up, they take responsibility,
learn from their mistakes, and keep moving forward. Followere tend to blame
others for their mistakes. Leaders take a step in confidence, pin their shoulders
back, and talk with confidence. If that is not you, take a public speaking course,
just get out there and do it. Step out of your comfort zone and take your
leadership to the next level.

A practical way of developing into an effective leader is to get incolved. Positioning
yourself to inspire people will really catapult you ahead. It will also take you out of
your comfort zone. That is a fantastic place to be. You will be surprised how quickly
you develop your weaknesses into strengths.

Management is efficiency in climbing the ladder of success; leadership determines whether the ladder is leaning against the right wall--Steven Covey
