Tips and Advice For Your Network Marketing Business

Back in 2000, a very good friend and mentor of mind
gave me the book, "Battlefeld of the mind" by Joyce Meyer.

Some pages of the book has paper clips, where my friend
had marked some pages that helped her learn and grow
into the wonderful person that she was.

You see, she was in her late 60's when she decided she
needed to make some extra money to supplement her
retirement.

She started out with Watkins and became very successful
in that business. She won many awards, fur coats, trips.
Whatever contest or incentive that the company put on,
she excelled to the top.

I meet my friend in 1998, a year after I started my Network
Marketing career. We would sit on her front porch for hours
talking about business, talking about life and sometimes just
sitting in silence watching the sun fade on the horizon.

Strong thoughts about her today lead me to the book that
she gave me. The page that opened to me stated,

"My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge" Hosea 4:6

This statement reminds me of people who are working a
business from home because being a mentor, every day
I talk to someone who has not read their policy and procedures,
have not crunched the numbers on their comp plan and
do not have a duplicatible system.

How can anyone make an informed decision on a business
opportunity if they do not know what is expected and what
is required to make the money?

The superstars of this industry use aggressive techniques on
us with promises of big bonuses if we get in at the groundfloor
of a prelaunch, they will do the recruiting for us and give us
spillover. They tell us to make a list of our warm market, buy
leads and do the cold calling when our warm market is run
dry.

We end up being frustrated, spending time and money that
we do not have and blaming ourselves for our lack of success.

Sound Familiar? Yeah, I know. Being there, got the tee shirt.

Tip # 1: Before you decide to sign your name on the agreement,
please read the contract, know what is required of you,
crunch the numbers so that you will be able to look at an
opportunity and know if it will work for you not against you.

Tip # 2: Make sure the duplicatible system is NOT making a list
of your family and friends

Become 10 feet tall and bulletproof. Become a critical thinker.
Learn the skills that are necessary for you to have success in
this great industry.
