Last week, I talked about character as being one quality of a leader.
I also want to say Thank you for the comments and participating .
Becoming a leader is one of the most challenging and rewarding
professions anyone can choose. It requires a particular blend of
talents that combines the caring and empathy of a true people
person with intuition, timing, organization, and a strong vision.
True leaders aren't always in the forefront, using authority.
Much of the time, real leadership is based on quiet confidence,
fostering skills and power in others and believing in them so
they can believe in themselves.
The best leaders are comfortable with themselves so they can
share power easily and establish trust and rapport with others.
They are commited to themselves and their team.
Commitment is another strong quality that a leader possesses. How
are you doing when it comes to follow through on your commitments?
And what did I miss? Please feel free to add your thoughts and comments.
Next time I will talk about another quality of a leader.
To your success

Network Marketing Leadership
In his book :
The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader'
John C. Maxwell said,
“Everything rises and falls on leadership,
but knowing how is only half the battle.
Understanding leadership and actually
leading are two different things”.
I listened to a short , 3 minute video
this week from a team event of 12,000 people
lead by one extraordinary leader.
This person understands the laws of leadership
and the principles that need to be present in
order for us to lead effectively.
Leadership is based on Character....Our Character
is who we are.
One dictionary defines character, in the sense
we are considering here, as "the complex of mental
and ethical traits marking a person." In another
dictionary, character is said to be "the stable
and distinctive qualities built into an individual's
life which determine his or her response
regardless of circumstances."
We all have character. Character is a choice.
Character Is a learned behavior.
Our character determines our response to the
obstacles, problems and challenges we expect.
Character also determines our success.
It determines whether a person will effectively
achieve goals, be honest in dealing with others
and will obey the laws and rules of the group.
Some of the words that define good character are:
Alertness,
Compassion,
Decisiveness
Humility
Forgivness,
Wisdom,
Dependability,
Responsibility,
Faith,
Loyality, and
Patience.
To have a happy lasting relationship, it has to
be filled with the qualities of trustworthiness,
loyalty, truthfulness, love, courage, and generosity.
Marriage research shows that these qualities and many
more are vital for the success of your marriage.
The same thing in your business life.
It takes years to build character. Leaders know
what they want, they have a vision , they are
unwilling to compromise on their values, integrity
and beliefs.
They walk the talk...they do not talk the walk!
Leaders realize that it is a long climb to the top,
but a short drop from the top. So they continue
on the proper path of slight edge growth, building
character from within.
Character is who we are on the inside. It's our moral
strength that determines right from wrong, it's our
ability to remain self-disciplined and follow our own
values regardless of what society says, and it's our
strength to handle the bad circumstances of life.
Therefore everytime you choose Character, you become
stronger. The development of character is at the heart
of our Development as a leader as well as a human being.
As you lead others on your team, remember that your
character is your most important asset.
To Your success
